Visiting
Come and See
The best way to discern if you have a vocation to religious life and to our community is to “come and see”! Experience it and you will know better, and feel if the Lord calls you to this life.
When St. John the Baptist had pointed at Jesus, saying: “Behold, the Lamb of God”, two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following Him and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, teacher, where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day.” (cf. John 1:35-39)
If you are interested to know our spirituality and life, feel free to contact us. We are happy to welcome you for a stay here in St. Gabriel Monastery to “come and see”! We want to help you discern your vocation, be it for religious life and/or the priesthood, in our community or wherever the Lord is calling you to serve Him.
We recommend you to visit us for a few days up to two weeks (for those coming by plane, the nearest airport is Pittsburgh, PA). If possible, this visit should include Thursday and Friday, to experience our celebration of the Passio Domini. During your stay, you will have opportunity to live with us our daily life. In the liturgy and in Eucharistic adoration, as well as through talks and conversations we will help you to receive answers to your questions.
For upcoming Come and See events or other visiting opportunities, please contact us.
