Requirements
What are the Reguirements for Applicants?
Interested young men who would like to become a priest or brother in the Order of the Holy Cross should fulfill the following requirements:
- be 18 to 35 years old. As a rule, we do not accept candidates who are over 35 years old.
- Membership in the Catholic Church; reception of the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.
- Sufficient physical and psychical health as well as a maturity that corresponds to the age.
- Candidates for the priesthood should have completed high school or its equivalent. The vocation to the consecrated Brotherhood requires some form of professional training.
- A convinced and active Christian life, with a lively love of GOD and neighbor.
- Love for Eucharistic adoration, for interiority and silence.
- Love for Mary and the holy Angels, as well as a genuine belief in the reality of the supernatural.
- Fidelity to the Holy Father, the will to integrate oneself into the holy Church and the community.
- A sense for the necessity of virtue, as well as for sacrifice and penance.
- A sincere will to embrace our way of life with its requirements.
